BhaktiSangam Vidyalaya, Dalakhan
A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully installed at BhaktiSangam Vidyalaya, Dalakhan, Shahapur with the vision of conserving rainwater and providing sustainable water solutions to the local community. The project aimed to address water scarcity by capturing and storing rainwater, which helps recharge groundwater and ensures water availability throughout the year.
This initiative was generously sponsored by Praj Foundation and completed in March 2024, with a total expenditure of ₹4,20,600. Designed for high efficiency, the system has the capacity to harvest approximately 9,00,000 litres of rainwater annually, making a substantial contribution to water conservation and environmental sustainability.
The project directly benefits 195 households, improving water access and reducing the burden of water shortages for the residents. The active collaboration between Praj Foundation, the implementing team, and the local community was key to the successful completion and smooth functioning of the system.Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at BhaktiSangam Vidyalaya stands as a model of sustainable development, demonstrating how collective action and innovative solutions can bring lasting benefits to both communities and the environment.
