In June 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal (VSM) successfully completed a significant Rainwater Harvesting project at CCDT Ankur Asmita Ashram in Badlapur, demonstrating its continued commitment to sustainable water conservation. This project, sponsored and funded by CCDT Ankur, was executed with a total expenditure of ₹2,99,885, and has the capacity to conserve approximately 2,10,000 litres of water annually.
Designed to tackle water scarcity and improve groundwater recharge, the system captures and stores rainwater efficiently, ensuring reliable water availability for the ashram and its surrounding ecosystem. With its status marked as ‘Completed’, this initiative directly benefits the local community and serves as an inspiration for other rural and semi-urban institutions to adopt eco-conscious practices. Through this impactful project, VSM continues its mission to restore environmental balance, empower communities, and create long-term water security solutions in water-stressed regions.
