Chondhe Z.P. School (Met)
A Rain Water Harvesting system was implemented at Chondhe Z.P. School (Met) to address the growing concern of water scarcity in the area and to promote sustainable water conservation practices. The project aimed to harness rainwater effectively, recharge the groundwater table, and ensure a reliable water supply for the local community.
The initiative was generously sponsored by Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal and successfully completed in September 2022, with a total expenditure of ₹2,48,500. The system is designed to harvest approximately 3,68,340 litres of rainwater annually, making a significant contribution toward groundwater replenishment and water security in the region.
This project directly benefits 50 Students, improving their access to water resources and easing the strain of water shortages. The active participation of the community and the support of VSM were key to ensuring the project’s success and sustainability.
Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Chondhe Z.P. School (Met) stands as an example of how focused, sustainable interventions can positively impact communities and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
