A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully implemented at Dhindepada Village, Wada, with the aim of addressing the persistent water scarcity in the area and promoting sustainable water conservation practices. The project was designed to capture and store rainwater efficiently, enabling groundwater recharge and ensuring a reliable water supply for the local community throughout the year.
This important initiative was generously supported by Praj Foundation and completed in June 2024, with a total expenditure of ₹4,00,600. The system is designed to harvest approximately 5,26,500 litres of rainwater annually, significantly contributing to improving water security and enhancing the environmental health of the region.
The project benefits 150 households, making a positive impact on the daily lives of residents by improving access to water and reducing their dependency on diminishing water sources. The success of this initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the implementing team, the support of Praj Foundation, and the active participation of the local community.Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Dhindepada Village stands as a strong example of sustainable development through community participation and corporate social responsibility, creating a lasting difference in the lives of rural families and setting a benchmark for similar initiatives elsewhere.
