Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal, Thane, successfully completed the Dombrewadi Check Dam in Taluka Murbad with the generous support of Cannon Design. The project was completed on 26 May at a total cost of ₹634,110. The check dam has a length of 32 meters and a height of 2.5 meters, providing a durable structure for effective rainwater harvesting and water conservation.

The Dombrewadi Check Dam has an estimated water storage capacity of 20,400,000 liters, making it a significant source of water for groundwater recharge and the surrounding ecosystem. By capturing and storing monsoon runoff, the check dam helps improve water availability for agriculture, livestock, and domestic use while reducing soil erosion and promoting sustainable water management.
