In June 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a Rainwater Harvesting project at the Fugro Rest Room, Shantivan Ashram School. This sustainable initiative was designed to address local water scarcity issues while promoting long-term water conservation. Through careful planning and implementation, the project now helps save approximately 765 litres of water every year, directly benefiting 60 individuals within the premises, including school students and staff. The project was generously sponsored by Mahindra Finance, whose support enabled the execution of this eco-friendly system.
With a total expenditure of ₹4,02,498, the project stands as a model for efficient resource use and corporate social responsibility. Now fully completed, the rainwater harvesting system ensures a dependable and renewable water source, aligning with Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal’s mission to create sustainable environmental solutions in rural and tribal areas of Maharashtra. This initiative not only saves water but also spreads awareness about ecological balance and the importance of community participation in environmental conservation.
