A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully installed at Kakadpada Village, Wada, to tackle the challenge of water scarcity and promote sustainable water conservation practices in the region. The project was designed to efficiently capture and store rainwater, helping to recharge the groundwater table and ensure a steady water supply for the community throughout the year.
The initiative was generously sponsored by Praj Foundation and completed in June 2024, with a total expenditure of ₹4,30,500. Designed for high efficiency, the system is capable of harvesting approximately 5,87,250 litres of rainwater annually, contributing significantly to local water security and environmental sustainability.
This project benefits 170 households, bringing meaningful improvements to their daily lives by providing reliable access to water and fostering awareness about sustainable resource management. The success of the project was made possible through the active collaboration of Praj Foundation, the implementation team, and the enthusiastic participation of the local residents.
