The checkdam, constructed with a budget of 1.4 lacs, has proven to be a reservoir of hope for the local community, safeguarding an impressive 19 lac litres of water. This critical water storage capacity plays a vital role in mitigating water scarcity concerns, ensuring a sustainable supply for domestic use and livestock in the region.

Covering an expansive area of 14 acres, the checkdam not only safeguards the immediate surroundings but also has a positive ripple effect on the cultivation practices in the region. The fertile lands under cultivation have witnessed a boost in agricultural productivity, empowering the community with a reliable water source for irrigation.

The beneficiaries of this impactful project extend beyond the boundaries of agriculture, reaching households and their cattle.
