Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal, Thane, successfully completed the Khopivali Check Dam in Taluka Murbad with the generous support of ASB International. The project was completed on 26 May at a total cost of ₹1,001,518. The check dam has a length of 19.2 meters and a height of 4.7 meters, making it a strong and durable water conservation structure designed to capture and store rainwater effectively.

The Khopivali Check Dam has an estimated water storage capacity of 3,360,000 liters, helping to improve groundwater recharge and ensure a reliable water supply for the surrounding area. By reducing surface runoff and retaining rainwater, the project supports sustainable agriculture, enhances water availability during dry periods, and contributes to the long-term development of the local community.
