A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully implemented at Nutan Vidyalaya, Changyacha Pada, Shahapur, with the objective of addressing water scarcity and encouraging sustainable water management in the community. The project focused on capturing and storing rainwater effectively, helping to recharge the groundwater and ensuring year-round access to water for the residents.
This impactful initiative was generously sponsored by D-Link and completed in January 2025, with a total expenditure of ₹2,80,300. The system is designed to harvest approximately 6,07,500 litres of rainwater annually, making a significant contribution to water security and environmental sustainability in the area.
The project benefits 122 households, improving their daily lives by providing dependable access to water and fostering a sense of responsibility towards natural resource conservation. The successful completion of this project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of D-Link, the implementing team, and the active participation of the local community.
