Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal has successfully executed a vital water conservation project at Pashtepada-2, Taluka Shahapur, aimed at securing a reliable water supply for the village community. Constructed in 2025, this initiative addresses the critical need for water for both domestic use and livestock, especially during dry seasons.
The project has established a storage capacity of 57,00,000 litres, ensuring year-round availability of water. This reservoir not only stabilizes groundwater levels but also provides a lifeline for the village’s households and cattle, reducing water scarcity and improving overall community resilience.
The total project cost was ₹7.5 lakhs, generously financed by Rotary Nerkar, whose support made this transformative initiative possible. While primarily benefiting domestic and cattle needs, the stored water also indirectly supports local agricultural activities by improving soil moisture and water availability in nearby fields.
This project reflects Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal’s commitment to sustainable rural development, empowering Pashtepada-2 with long-term water security and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
