The village of Pradhanpada-1 K in Murbad Taluka has long struggled with limited water availability, impacting both domestic life and local agriculture. To address this persistent challenge, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal, with generous financial support from Laxmi Engineer Services Pvt. Ltd, implemented an important water conservation project in 2023.

A durable water storage structure with an estimated capacity of 40,60,000 liters was constructed as part of this initiative. This reservoir now provides a reliable supply of water throughout the year, benefiting the village significantly. With improved water access, nearly 20 acres of agricultural land can be irrigated consistently, enabling farmers to cultivate more efficiently and increase their productivity.

The project has also brought substantial relief to the 4 beneficiary households, ensuring dependable domestic water availability. The improved storage has uplifted daily living conditions, strengthened groundwater recharge, and reduced the stress of water scarcity for families and farmers alike.

This initiative has supported sustainable development while enhancing the socio-economic stability of the community.
