Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal, Thane, successfully completed the Rampur Check Dam in Taluka Murbad. The project was completed on 26 May at a total cost of ₹455,198. The check dam has a length of 18 meters and a height of 3.5 meters, providing a durable and effective structure for rainwater harvesting and water conservation.
The Rampur Check Dam has been constructed to reduce surface runoff, enhance groundwater recharge, and improve the availability of water for agriculture and other local needs. By conserving rainwater within the watershed, the project supports sustainable farming practices, strengthens water security, and helps the community cope with seasonal water shortages.
