A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully implemented at S. S. Kisanbaba School, Dhasai, Shahapur, with the objective of addressing the critical issue of water scarcity and promoting sustainable water conservation practices within the community. The system was designed to efficiently collect and store rainwater, thereby recharging groundwater resources and ensuring reliable water availability throughout the year.

This impactful initiative was generously sponsored by Mahindra Finance and completed in February 2025, with a total expenditure of ₹3,54,900. The system is capable of harvesting approximately 5,10,750 litres of rainwater annually, making a significant contribution to the water security and environmental sustainability of the region.

The project benefits 358 households, bringing about meaningful improvements to their quality of life by providing more dependable access to water and reducing reliance on distant or depleting sources. The success of this project was made possible through the support of Mahindra Finance, the dedication of the implementation team, and the active involvement of the local community.

Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at S. S.
