Sick Room, Shantivan Ashram School, Panvel

In June 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) project at the Sick Room of Shantivan Ashram School, located in Panvel. This environmentally significant initiative was made possible through the generous support of Mahindra Finance, which sponsored the entire program. The total expenditure for the project amounted to ₹5,21,560, invested in the creation of an effective rainwater catchment and filtration system. The project is designed to conserve approximately 787.5 litres of water annually, contributing meaningfully to the local water sustainability efforts.

With over 530 beneficiaries, primarily students and staff at the school, this system ensures clean, usable water is available during times of need, particularly for the sick room, where hygiene and accessibility are critical. Now marked as “Completed”, this RWH system stands as a testament to the power of corporate-social partnerships in driving sustainable change. Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal remains committed to such impactful environmental efforts, aligning with its core mission of preserving water, empowering communities, and promoting a healthier ecosystem.
