In February 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a Rainwater Harvesting Project at Zilla Parishad School, Aavalpada-1, located in Shahapur taluka. This impactful initiative, generously sponsored by Trafigura, was implemented with a total expenditure of ₹3,79,370, ensuring the sustainable capture and storage of rainwater to meet local water needs. With a meticulously planned harvesting structure, the system is now capable of saving an estimated 3,37,500 litres of water every year, making a significant contribution towards water security in the region.
The project directly benefits 52 individuals, including students, teachers, and local residents who now have access to improved water availability. This completed project stands as a model for efficient community-level water conservation, demonstrating the power of collaboration between social organizations and responsible corporate donors.
