Z.P. School Baradpada, Potgaon
A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully installed at Z.P. School Baradpada, Potgaon, Murbad to tackle local water scarcity and promote sustainable water conservation in the community. The project focused on collecting and storing rainwater efficiently, helping to recharge the groundwater and ensure reliable access to water for residents.
This initiative was generously supported by Mahindra Finance and was completed in March 2023, with a total expenditure of ₹2,88,200. The system is designed to harvest approximately 2,58,750 litres of rainwater annually, significantly contributing to water security and reducing dependency on external water sources.
The project directly benefits 50 households, bringing meaningful improvements to their daily lives by ensuring better access to water and supporting the local environment. The collaborative efforts of Mahindra Finance, the implementation team, and the enthusiastic participation of the community were instrumental in achieving this milestone.
Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Z.P. School Baradpada, Potgaon stands as a successful example of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility, fostering resilience and environmental awareness in the community.
