A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully implemented at Z.P. School Chasole, Murbad, with the goal of addressing water scarcity in the area and fostering sustainable water conservation practices. The project aimed to collect and store rainwater effectively, helping to recharge the groundwater and ensure a reliable water supply for the local community throughout the year.
This initiative was generously sponsored by D-Link and completed in February 2025, with a total expenditure of ₹5,65,250. The system is designed to harvest approximately 3,37,500 litres of rainwater annually, making a meaningful contribution to water security and environmental sustainability in the region.
The project directly benefits 69 households, improving their daily lives by providing dependable access to water and reducing their reliance on depleting natural sources. The success of this project was made possible through the support of D-Link, the implementing team, and the active involvement of the local residents.
Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Z.P. School Chasole stands as an inspiring example of how corporate social responsibility and community participation can create long-term, sustainable solutions for rural water challenges.
