In August 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a significant Rain Water Harvesting project at Zilla Parishad School, Goregaon, in Murbad Taluka, with the generous support of Mahindra Finance as the program sponsor and donor. This initiative reflects VSM’s core commitment to environmental sustainability and water security in rural areas.
With an investment of ₹3,39,250, the project is now fully operational and delivering measurable impact. It is designed to harvest and conserve 3,15,000 litres of rainwater every year, significantly addressing water scarcity issues for the school and the local community. This sustainable water resource now benefits 43 individuals directly, including students, teachers, and supporting staff, by ensuring year-round availability of water for essential needs.
The completion of this project not only strengthens the water infrastructure at the school but also serves as a model for cost-effective, scalable, and community-driven water conservation solutions. With continued support from responsible partners like Mahindra Finance, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal aims to replicate such success stories in other water-stressed regions of Maharashtra and beyond. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between grassroots efforts and corporate social responsibility in creating a water-secure and sustainable future.
