Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal Thane, with the generous support of Mahindra Finance, has successfully implemented a Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) project completed in the year Oct 2024 at Z. P. School Khedle Talvali, Murbad. This initiative aims to provide sustainable water solutions to the school and its surrounding community, ensuring a reliable water supply for 94 beneficiaries.
With a total potential of 4.32 litres per year, this system significantly contributes to water conservation and reduces dependency on external water sources. The contractor project expenditure of 2.27 lac has been strategically allocated to ensure optimal design, storage, and filtration mechanisms for long-term impact.
By harvesting rainwater, this initiative addresses critical water scarcity issues, particularly in rural areas, ensuring an uninterrupted supply for drinking, sanitation, and agricultural purposes. Additionally, it fosters awareness about sustainable water management among students and the local community. Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal remains committed to empowering rural regions through innovative environmental solutions, and this project marks another step toward water sustainability.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mahindra Finance for their valuable support in making this initiative a reality. Their contribution has helped create a self-sufficient water system that will benefit the school and surrounding community for years to come.
