A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully implemented at Z.P. School Kudhshet, Shahapur, aimed at addressing the persistent water shortage in the area and fostering sustainable water management practices. The project was designed to effectively capture and store rainwater, enabling groundwater recharge and ensuring a more dependable water supply for the local community.

This initiative was generously sponsored by LCEPL and completed in May 2025, with a total expenditure of ₹4,12,250. With a capacity to harvest approximately 6,18,750 litres of rainwater annually, the system makes a significant contribution to water conservation and environmental sustainability in the region.

The project improves access to water for the surrounding households, easing their dependency on unreliable water sources and positively impacting their daily lives. This successful outcome was made possible through the dedicated support of LCEPL, the implementing team, and the cooperation of the local community.

Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Z.P. School Kudhshet stands as a strong example of how corporate social responsibility and collaborative efforts can deliver long-term benefits, improving lives while protecting precious natural resources for future generations.
