In August 2025, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a significant Rain Water Harvesting project at Zilla Parishad School, Sangam, Murbad. This project, sponsored by Mahindra Finance, aimed at addressing the water scarcity challenges faced by the school and surrounding community. With an investment of ₹3,18,246, the system is now capable of conserving approximately 2,56,000 litres of water annually, ensuring a reliable water source for various purposes throughout the year.
This sustainable initiative has positively impacted 83 direct beneficiaries, including students, staff, and local residents. By tapping into rainwater resources and storing it efficiently, the project not only contributes to environmental conservation but also supports the vision of water self-reliance in rural Maharashtra. The successful completion of this project is a testament to Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal’s ongoing commitment to grassroots water conservation, supported by responsible corporates and dedicated community partnerships.
