Z. P. School Saralgaon
A Rain Water Harvesting system was successfully established at Z. P. School Saralgaon, aimed at conserving rainwater and enhancing the groundwater levels in the area. This initiative was undertaken to mitigate water scarcity and promote sustainable water use practices in the community.
Generously sponsored by Trafigura, the project was completed in February 2025 with a total expenditure of ₹3,83,150. The system is designed to harvest and save approximately 6,07,500 litres of water annually, which significantly contributes to replenishing local water resources and ensuring availability throughout the year.
The project has positively impacted 204 Students, providing them with improved water security and reducing their reliance on depleting groundwater reserves. The collaboration between Trafigura, the implementing team, and the active involvement of the local residents made this achievement possible.Now completed, the Rain Water Harvesting project at Z. P. School Saralgaon serves as a successful example of how sustainable infrastructure can create long-term benefits for both the community and the environment. This initiative reflects the shared commitment to conservation and development in harmony with nature.
