In a significant step towards sustainable water conservation, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal successfully completed a Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) project at Zilla Parishad School, Shiravali in Murbad. This impactful initiative, completed in August 2025, has the capacity to save approximately 6,07,500 litres of water annually, directly benefiting 145 individuals, including students and the local community. The project was made possible through the generous support and sponsorship of Mahindra Finance, whose contribution helped cover the total project expenditure of ₹4,73,770.
The system now efficiently channels and stores rainwater, reducing dependence on external water sources and improving water security in the region. By implementing this RWH system, Vasundhara Sanjivani Mandal has not only promoted environmental sustainability but also taken a strong step towards empowering rural schools with essential natural resources. The project stands as a model of collaborative environmental action and community upliftment.
